This evening I wish to speak about one of the most important blessings available to members of the church.

They are limited to those who are worthy.

I speak of patriarchal blessings. Oh, oh, oh, it's magic.

My chief reason for speaking upon this subject is that patriarchal blessings

verify of the divinity of Christ. that patriarchal Could it be my sick? Come on!

These sacred blessings also strengthen the personal testimonies

of those worthy persons who are the recipients of such blessings provided those recipients live so as to merit the blessings

which are pronounced there in.

It's a kind of magic. Our Prophet's words help us better understand the great value of our

patriarchal blessing.

Sometimes we hear about people who,

sensing the need for a little extra spiritual guidance,

flip open the scriptures to a random page

to see if something stands out.

While this method may help occasionally,

there is a source of personal direction from the Lord

that may be more helpful than the random scripture flip.

Now just as the Lord provided a Lehona to Lehi,

that same Lord provides for you and for me a rare and priceless gift.

It will give direction to our lives.

It will point out the hazards in our journey, it will chart our course and give

a safe passage to our heavenly home.
