The Electoral College is our subject for today.

That's a topic that's been on a lot of people's minds ever since the election of Donald Trump,

given that

Hillary Clinton won the so-called popular vote. So why is she not the American president?

So we're going to talk about the electoral college, its origins, and its merits or otherwise,

and we're going to do so with two great American historians, the first of whom is Brian McClanahan, who holds a PhD from the

University of South Carolina. He's the author of many books, including the founding father's guide

to the Constitution and the politically incorrect guide to the founding fathers, among other books.
