Mayflower landing at Plymouth Rock. The official landing day was really the 18th and they disembarked

over the next few days. In the week before they landed, they crafted the Mayflower

compact. The first governing document from which some of the respective state bills of

rights and the eventual declaration of independence and bill of rights in the Constitution were

crafted. It's also the 157th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln delivering the Gettysburg

address, harking back to those principles of the Declaration of Independence, really the

principles of the Mayflower compact, but just rectifying that one flaw of slavery, the
