Hi, I'm Tish Oxenwriter and on The Simple Show. We talk about books, travel, and life at home. In this episode, I am joined by my co-host Stephanie Langford. Hello, Stephanie.

Hey, Tish. Stephanie, tell us who you are and what you do. I'm an entrepreneur and a writer and a mom of five.

And I live in Ottawa, Canada, usually, but I'm in Central America right now.

This is a travel episode, obviously, so we're going to catch up with Stephanie, who is still in Central America, on an extended trip with her family.

And we are also going to answer your questions about travel. So this is part two, where we talk about what's on your mind.

But first, let's start off with talking to Stephanie about Central America. How you've been there? What is it now? Like two months? One month? How long have you been? I had to stop and think about it when you said that. Yeah, I think almost two months.

Okay. So two months. And how are you guys doing? We are doing really good. So right now we're with some friends. We had part of why Central America ended up being our place for this particular trip was because we had a, we have a thing with friends

where we meet up with a bunch of families that were really close to and we do something together

a couple of times a year. And so we decided to get all big and crazy this time and go to Costa Rica

together, which is like a totally new thing for us. So that was sort of how we ended up in Costa

Rica and then we sort of worked the rest of our

Central America trip around that. So the trip has been good. We did talk in a recent episode

about some of the hard. So there was definitely some of the hard in the trip. And then I feel like

we started to hit our stride a little bit. We did some time in Belize. We were snorkeling

together as a family. We saw some

really huge growth in our kids and we just made a lot of really good family memories. And now we're

here reconnecting with friends, which is cool because you get lonely on the road. So I feel like

we're kind of in a good place with our trip. We're really enjoying it right now. So what do you

mean by growth in your kids? Tell me more about that.
