One of my major stress reliefs is just to head out somewhere and make a

Beldera fire.

You know, there's a lot of energy expended there and, you know, it kind of centers me.

You know, if I'm in host, Mason Gravely.

One of my favorite things to do is kind of like what Joe mentioned at the beginning of this,

then that little sound bite you heard, is build a campfire.

I absolutely love campfires.

I am often found in my backyard with a campfire coming in late at night smelling like smoke.

There's just something about it

that helps you re-center, helps you just relax, helps me at least to think about things,

think through problems, or just kind of zone out for a little bit. And, you know, that's just

one aspect of wilderness survival skills, is being able to build a fire. And so I know

this show is typically about adventure sports stories, but you know, wilderness survival skills are

obviously very important. They're fun to talk about, even if you never use them. They're just

fun. They're just fun to do. It's exciting. It's a craft, you know, that that's really fun. And Joe here knows a lot about it.

But this is an episode from 2016. Kurt was the host. This is Throwback Thursday, by the way,

as you as you already know. And also, you just never know when you might need some of these

skills or just some of the know-how, especially if you're in the backcountry a lot or you get

hurt. I mean, friends and I, you know, we get hurt all the time on trip. So it's just nice to know

some of these things for those, for those occasions. And outside of being heard, another thing you need
