3520 through 26 and this is the Savior's favorite story isn't?? Clearly Jesus has a favorite story, Mike,

and anyone who watches for it will recognize it

because he told it to almost every Old Testament prophet,

and you can see elements of the story in the Old Testament.

Especially it appears when they were discouraged.

That when they were downtrodden because they looked at their own people and they saw failure and

disobedience and breaking covenants that's the moment that Jesus would tell them the

story he does that exact same thing with Ether in the Book of Mormon who really was an Old Testament

prophet. When Ether gets discouraged as he watched the Geridites fall apart, he

gets a version of the story. Jesus tried to tell the story to the Jews in the New Testament

but the Father forbade him because they weren't quite prepared to receive it.

And so he comes to America and he has a righteous audience and so he finally gets to tell the full

version of the story and it's just fun to see him do it you can almost sense

the thrill and excitement on the Savior's part as he tells this story.
