You guys are in for a treat today. Bill Kaufman returns to the show. I just love Bill. I love his writing. I love the way he thinks. I love his originality. And he's just a great, decent guy all around. And we're talking about his book, America First. It's history, culture, and politics. This book has been reissued just recently with a brand new preface and epilogue,

and it's such a wonderful book. It's just over 20 years old, but it's brought up to date with the

new preface and epilogue. But it's really a, it's just a tremendous book. It's, it covers some

important American history, literary history, cultural.

It's just a wonderful book to read.

You will not be upset at me if you read this book.

So you're definitely going to want to check out America First and perhaps more about Bill Kaufman.

Bill has been – he's probably been published in, I don't know, more periodicals than I've

read over the years. He's been published everywhere. He's written many books. I've never been

sorry that I've read a Bill Kaufman book. He wrote the screenplay for the wonderful film Copperhead.

tremendous guy. That's, I don't know what else to say. He's one of my favorite guests ever on the
