It's just very nice to sit down and have a conversation with somebody who's down to |
| 4:29.4 | earth. For sure. You know what I mean? For sure. Yeah. Yeah. So for our followers who don't know you, we're sure most of them do, can you just give us a little background on where you're from, who you are? How did you get to this Sophia that we know? Oh, that's so now first let me say me say thanks again for having me. I'm excited to be on. And just what you said, like that means a lot because that is, I'm very intentional about making sure like when I present is genuine, it's real. And you just show up just being who you are and you don't have to do the most when you walk with God |
| 5:05.4 | and this just show every day you don't have to like be extra you know just be so that's very important to me for people who don't really know my ministry honestly I kind of like stumbled across being virtual getting into the virtual space and kind of like sharing my testimony online. I spent years like in 2003, gave my life to the Lord. When I tell people, I always say I was outside, outside. Like, you know, I didn't really grow up like with this whole desire to preach or like a good known as like a good girl. I was never even known as like a good kid. I was always labeled like she bad. She terrible. But in 03 I like I play college basketball, very athletic. And in 03 I gave my life to the Lord, ran across a service where for the first time I'm gonna the gospel preach in this entirety. You know and during that time I was living in a homosexual lifestyle. Most people I share people like dealt with like gender dysphoria and that's identity like where the enemy like at an early age snatch my image and my identity. So presented very masculine presentation. And at one point, really felt like I was born gay. And it's just long story short version, you know, as we continue to talk, but it was just this version of me that people see I never could imagine. And so I remember sending that service and hearing the gospel preacher, hearing the message about if you give your life to Jesus and you confess your sins, you'll be born again and you become a new creature in Christ. Old things pass away, everything become new. That intrigued me. And I was like, wow, how is this possible? You know, because typically when people saw me, it was immediately like God that made God a misdeed or you go in the hell, like God don't like how you live in. But I heard the gospel of love and the good news and gave my life to the Lord. And in that process, it was years of just being disciple behind the scenes, serving at my local church, sitting at the feet of my pastor who walked me through my deliverance and just learning that he prophesied all of these things that I would be who I would become. And it was just a process of evolving. And one day I stumbled and shared my story years later, like, oh, three, maybe 11, 13 years later. And it just kind of took off from there. Wow. Glory to God. That's awesome. That's awesome. And so being in this church realm and coming from, like the lifestyle and stuff, that changed, like going through the sanctification process and really allowing God to shift you and mold you. How was it navigating that in the church space? Because I know sometimes there's so much emphasis on looking the part, instead of being the part. So I know you coming out of that lifestyle and being masculine presenting, what was that like trying to find out, what do I wear to service? How do I become this thing? Because it's not easy operating in this church realm. Like it's really, really not. Sometimes we're focused on the look of a thing instead of like the actual deliverance or the actual sanctification of a person. So what was it like walking through that particular part? Well, that is very good because it was a challenge. You know, at that time, you know, in 03 and my process from 03 to 08, really social media wasn't like video. You wasn't really hearing people share their testimonies as much as you hear now. So I didn't have access to a lot of resources like that's available now. So when I gave my life to the Lord, that was the biggest thing was what are we going to do with me? Because this is all I know. This is all I know. And so you have the church who really are not equal wasn't at that time really equipped to like understand giving people that grace to go through sanctification to be processed. So what they was really doing was just teaching people how to be out the closet, get saved and then go back in the closet and put on that form of godlyness, right? So they were telling me like, she need to put on a skirt, she need to, you know, she need a man and I'm like, yo, I'm literally just trying to be saved. I don't, yeah, that's all I want. And I was never going to force it. Like I'm not going to force the image to look like I'm saved. And God just, this God is so amazing because when he says a personal relationship, holy spirit of leading God into all truth. And if he began to go working, you heal, complete it. And so God literally took me under his two lich. And it was like God kept telling me, just trust the process. Just stay with me, just keep on. So I'm hearing people talk about me. They were like, nah, she's still gay. She's still look gay. So from 03 to 08, if you look at me physically, you'll be like, oh, there's no proof or no evidence, right? But see, that's where people don't really understand the gospel, because my image was not me not being delivered or being saved or being, you know, it was me my confession that Jesus Christ is Lord. So I am saved, because I'm born again. Now I got to work out my soul salvation with fear and trembling and go through the sanctification process so that my image can be restored back to the original intent in which God had it. And so people go through that all the time you deal with the church, you deal with people not knowing how to handle testimonies. And so people try to come in and be little gods. And they actually cause anxiety. The church gave me anxiety. Wow. So I just stuck with the process. And for five years, I kept following God while still looking and presenting masculine but God was doing something more inward and so then he changed me inside out and so most people was like once they solved to them physical proof yeah they believe but that you know so it's just really having the grace to help people journey through the process well. That's so good. That's so good. We talk about that a lot. Just with our audience, I know they're going to be so blessed by you saying that because we're all on this journey and it can be very difficult when you're trying to prove to other people what is happening on the inside with you. And so I know they're going to be so blessed by that. I also wanted to just is getting to, we didn't introduce you as this, but I was introduced to you as prophetess. |
| 12:09.3 | You know, um, so when I was going through my discipleship and I was learning about God, I was so intrigued by the prophetic because I didn't I grew up missionary Baptist. So when I got exposed to the prophetic I'm like, okay, here we go. This is not real. But this man knew so much about me. It actually put me on this pursuit to pursue God who was revealing secrets. And I kept saying, who is this God that's revealing secrets to man? I want to know who that God is. And so even in my youthfulness, childlike faith, that's why people get too grown in the spirit. And so this childlike pursuit had me searching scripture, looking for God. And in that, I'm sorry, kind of hearing the voice of God, hearing God hearing God speaking I'm just writing things down now I'm writing poems got thing every prophetic person They got like as they're growing and evolving it start with poems or they writing and they just try to put you somewhere Yeah, and I was learning I was at Bible study at the service. I'm telling my apostle I got notes. I'm sitting on this porch and I'm just gathering this information. And over time, the Lord just started cultivating the gift and I started hearing the voice of God and then my gift was being affirmed by spiritual leaders who was in my life to really bring identity. So before I was ever even ordained or identified as a prophet with the title, I was just actually just literally just in the function. I was just doing it. So that's why even to this day, it's like it's not even about what you call me as long as I'm actually just operating in the function. Come on. That's good. It operates. Put some respect on it. Here. |
| 14:10.6 | And so even like you said, the prophetic is an amazing thing. And there's it's full of so much wonder. |
| 14:12.5 | And we do get to learn of God and see the many hats |
| 14:16.7 | and the many ways that he flows. |
| 14:18.3 | So when you're flowing in the prophetic, |
| 14:21.0 | what's going through you? |
| 14:22.2 | What's going through your mind? |
| 14:23.2 | What's going through your heart? Like, especially when you first got saved, |
| 14:26.3 | you really started prophesying, |
| 14:27.5 | you saw it was accurate. |
