| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to this episode of ESG Fitness Podcast. This is a very exciting episode because I have another new coach, which is brilliant. And the reason that we're taking on another coach is one, because this person is excellent and I just really wanted to take them on. And two, because we want to make sure that we're serving our clients as best we can. And the numbers have just been really big recently, which means that we need more coaches to make sure that we can do the check-in to give everyone the time that they deserve and the support that they deserve and make sure everyone is happy |
| 0:37.7 | and reaching their goals. And I also think this person adds something that we don't have to the |
| 0:43.4 | team. So that's kind of always what I'm looking for when I bring on new coaches is what can |
| 0:48.1 | this person add that is going to make us even better than we already are. So Katie, I am very excited to have you here. How are you? |
| 0:57.7 | Hi. I'm good. Thank you. How are you? I'm very well. Thank you. I'm buzzing about this. So tell me a little bit |
| 1:06.2 | about you, your journey and then why you do what you do as a coach. Okay, I'm really nervous about |
| 1:14.9 | this. This is my first ever podcast as well. So I'm sorry if I'm awful. Please feel free to |
| 1:19.6 | stop me. So I mostly work with women who have spent their lives struggling with the weight. |
| 1:27.1 | And if you were to ask them, they'd say that they can't remember a time |
| 1:30.2 | when they weren't dieting in some way. |
| 1:33.1 | And even if they've managed to lose weight at some point, |
| 1:36.1 | they've not been able to keep it off |
| 1:37.7 | and they're stuck in this cycle of going round and round. |
| 1:41.9 | And they're also at the point where they feel like |
| 1:43.9 | that it's never going to happen for them. They also at the point where they feel like that it's never |
| 1:45.6 | going to happen for them. They're in that mindset where they feel like a loss cause and it's just |
| 1:51.4 | never going to happen and they're never going to get the help that they need. They tend to have |
| 1:56.5 | a background of swimming clubs where they've joined something left maybe tried something else |
| 2:02.9 | like calorie counting or something similar to that and then they've struggled on their own so |
| 2:08.1 | they've gone back because they don't know what else to do they know that it's not working for them |
| 2:13.2 | but they're just really stuck and they tend to have, they're too scared by the gym and stuff |
| 2:19.3 | like that so they wouldn't be going somewhere like that because it's quite intimidating. |
