| 0:38.9 | story and this story is going to be about bison hunting and gathering raspberries. |

| 0:51.6 | So I want you to imagine for a minute that you are back in the |
| 0:54.8 | Stone Age and you are trying to survive and you're in luck because your brain is a survival machine. |
| 0:59.7 | So the brain says, okay, great, my one mission in life is to help this human being survive. |
| 1:04.8 | So that's what I'm going to do at all costs. |
| 1:07.5 | And so one of the ways the brain helps us survive is by producing dopamine. |
| 1:13.0 | And dopamine is a neurotransmitter. |
| 1:15.1 | And neuro basically means brain and transmitter |
| 1:17.4 | means like mover of information. |
| 1:19.1 | So what dopamine does is it helps information move around the brain and so you're back in the |
| 1:24.0 | Stone Age and you're looking around and you find a raspberry bush your brain is |
| 1:28.8 | going to shoot off dopamine because you eat that raspberry, that raspberry tastes good and your brain says, hey, this thing we need to do. |
