| 1:59.0 | So Ralph, welcome. I look forward to chatting with you on this. |
| 2:03.0 | Yes, Steve, great to chat with you about this. It's funny, although other things we talk about, but you know, I think this is really, really important to talk about the future of, you know, just our society and our legacy, especially with all that's going on here today in America, especially across the world for that matter. |
| 2:19.0 | Yeah, absolutely. And that's exactly what we're seeing. We're seeing many respects and educational renaissance that you know, I've talked about. |
| 2:26.0 | We've written about going on not just here in the States, but all over the world. So why don't you just give us a little bit of your backstory about, you know, just your whole experience and starting Christian schools and alike. It must be quite the endeavor. |
| 2:40.0 | Yeah, yeah. I'll keep it short. You know how that works. |
| 2:45.0 | But yeah, no, back in the late 90s, I graduated from Grove City College. And I was really kind of in a place kind of perplexed in my faith and went through some real faith changes in terms of really having certainty about my relationship with the Lord. |
| 3:01.0 | And one of the things that really helped me was just some of the education I got both at the college, but even post college is some of the books I was reading. |
| 3:10.0 | And I really recognized like just in my I was raised up through the public school system and just what I was lacking and didn't really have a clear understanding of, you know, what how the Bible was authoritative my life. And I just, and I really, as I have grew in conviction and been more certainty my faith by God's grace, what happened was is, I also had a conviction to help others not have to go through what I went through. |
| 3:34.0 | And that was kind of where it started. That was kind of the little kernel of the seed for me. And I was attending a church and the pastor out of the blue like new kind of I was, you know, interested in making sure young people were had a biblical Christian view of the world and understood how the scriptures applied to all of life and saw how they're calling and developing that because I he knew my story. |
| 3:58.0 | And he knew how I was trying to work even with the youth in the church. That's why I met my wife soon thereafter. And working with youth. And so anyway, along the short as he asked me, go on day, 27 years old, and it wasn't married. No kids, no education degree. I have a degree. I don't have any education degrees still don't. And he asked me if I would start a Christian school in, you know, the thriving rich Christian. |
| 4:26.0 | It's thriving metropolis of New Jersey. So when the secular regions in the nation, yeah, exactly. So yeah, that's kind of where it started. And I still remember the day he asked me and I was kind of naive 26 25 years old and said, sure, why not? And I prayed about it for a few days and went back to him. So this sounds like something to do. And I was kind of bored in my kind of sales job. And I was looking for some other things to do and serve the church. Is that's kind of how I viewed it. But I had no idea what I was saying yes to. |
| 4:55.0 | Was this in the 1990s? Is that the? Yeah, it was like 1999, 1998. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know if you have the stats on it. I mean, one of the latest stats I came across as a classical education, 1994. |
