Chuck Arfine here, and I'm taping this on a Tuesday before game three of the NLCS, which if you're listening to this podcast,

another questionable managerial decision made by Joe Madden, and the Cubs moving one game closer to elimination,

and more importantly, just going away.

I mean, as Sox fans, I know what you're thinking.

There is only so much that you can take.

One Cubs World Series is enough.

The prospect of them winning two in a row

has been sitting quietly in the pit of your stomach since April,

hoping and praying that it will not create a massive ulcer in October.

Well, here we are, the moment of truth, needing the Los Angeles Dodgers, our new best friends,

after we dumped our old best friends, the Washington Nationals, to save White Sox fans from a Cub againin.

Because the thought of the Cubs winning back-to-back world series will be a cataclysmic event that could permanently damage your soul.

So I was thinking this when I read the Chicago Tribune on Sunday morning and a column written by John Cass entitled Searching for a Safe Space in Cubslandia. John is a diehard white socks fan. He grew up

in Oak Lawn and he put into words what many of you are feeling, especially if you live

within 100 miles of Chicago and you are drowning in Cubby Blue. He asked, where is our safe space in Cubslandia?
