Summary
When should you let your ad ride and when should you cut the cord and shut it down? If you are running ads or are just starting to run ads, this is a common question we get a lot inside of IFCA and instead of giving you theory, I want to give you actual student examples and what we suggested for them to do. I'll cover everything from ad performance, tech issues, what funnels are working best right now, when to build out a VSL for your offer, and much more!

| 0:00.0 | So Carissa came on. She had a comment automation set up in Go High Level that was working and |
| 0:04.5 | it just stopped. She hadn't changed anything at all. And this happens, especially with beta features. |
| 0:09.6 | It's one thing I don't love about Go High Level. This is a beta feature that they have. They will improve |
| 0:14.6 | on it. And the move is not don't spiral when this happens, right? It's almost always the move. But the move is to |
| 0:19.6 | rebuild the automation clean, test it. And if reliability matters a lot to you, maybe you can use a more |
| 0:26.8 | stable tool like minichat. Yo, yo, welcome back to the podcast. I will be honest, I had such a |
| 0:33.4 | hard time naming this episode because we're talking about a lot all things ad related so I was like |
| 0:39.2 | do I want to name it why your ads stop working do I want to name it why your ads aren't broken |
| 0:44.6 | here's what's really going on do I want to name it how to tell if your ads are working and ultimately |
| 0:49.4 | I decided on when to kill an ad versus let it ride and a rule that we give our clients So if you are running ads right now and it feels like you're just throwing spaghetti at the wall, this episode is for you. Maybe you feel like one day I'm getting leads, the next day nothing's happening, I'm looking at this dashboard wondering, do I turn this off, do I rebuild this funnel, do I just light my money on fire? Well, take a breath. I'm going to help |
| 1:12.0 | make this really simple for you. So by the end of this episode, you will know exactly how to judge |
| 1:16.5 | if your ads are working or not. Or you're like, maybe I'm not running ads. You will know what to |
| 1:21.8 | look out for, primitably. So this is still a really great episode. If you're not running ads, |
| 1:26.0 | keep listening. You will know how long to let them run before you change anything. You will know what to do when your tech or automations go sideways. And I'm going to share real scenarios that come up, that came up recently in one of our open office hour calls from our clients. So you can hear the same coaching that we give our students. It's one of the easiest ways to give it to you so that you can really understand it on the podcast. So you'll walk away |
| 1:49.4 | with simple rules for testing your creatives, a 72 hour review window and when to graduate, |
| 1:56.7 | knowing when to graduate from like a DM funnel to a VSL funnel, which is important. So if you are listening and you're like, man, I want expert eyes on this stuff. So I'm not just guessing. This is exactly what we do inside of IFCA. So if you are curious about this, you can learn more and apply at impact fitnesscoachy academy.com. We'd love to help you cut some of the trial and air through running ads and getting leads. So, all right, let's dive in. I'm just going to run through and do like a quick lightning round, like lightning round of what happened on a recent open office hour call with our ads specialist Darren. And like I said, you people learn really well through examples. Let me explain this happened with this student. This is how we fixed it. And you're going to go, oh my gosh, I've been there. Or oh, wow, I didn't even know that that was an issue. Let me look at my stuff. So anyway, example number one, this person's ads, they just kind of stop spending money. I don't know if that's ever happened to you, but Wes hopped on. He said one of my ad sets, it's not spending any money anymore. My numbers look fine under five bucks per lead, but my messages stopped or probably, yeah, lead, DM probably in that case. He's like, do I turn this off? What do I do? And the answer was really simple. He had his campaign budget on. So meta was pushing spend to the best performer, which is totally normal. And in that case, yes, turn off the ad or the ad said that's not getting any spend and just let the winner eat it up. You don't have to panic just because one line looks a little bit sleepy. You look at your total system and keep the proven winner on. So sometimes it's just tech. Oh man, what do I do with |
| 3:24.6 | this tech? And pushing the wrong button or shutting something down can really kill progress. So |
| 3:30.7 | just as simple as asking a tech question. Example number two, automations that broke. So Carissa |
| 3:37.4 | came on. She had a comment automation set up and go high level that was working and then it just |
| 3:41.7 | stopped. |
| 3:42.3 | She hadn't changed anything at all. |
| 3:43.8 | And this happens, especially with beta features. |
