Hi, here gamers. We're dropping this episode on New Year's Eve, 2018, which makes this the last episode of the year. I've always had a personal philosophy that I should try to be a little bit better today than I was yesterday, a little bit better in the new year than I was last year, and so forth. So as we move into 2019, I'm going to try to kick things up a notch on the podcast.

At the end of this episode, I'll announce how we're going to do that. Now down to business.

This episode was recorded at the Salon Republic Holiday Party a couple weeks ago. These parties

have evolved into an important part of our culture. We used to do a separate one for each

location, but after 2014, where we did five or six parties on consecutive nights with the

drinking and the stand-up late, I lost my voice for a period of time and realized for my own

sanity and physical well-being that we had to combine them into one big party.

So last few years has kind of been an evolving version of that.

This year we did it at the legendary Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood.

We had about 700 of our beauty pros there and 25 vendors with full-on installations like

you see at a hair show.

We gave away tons of free stuff, there were hair demos, and people got down on the dance floor.

So while I was off having fun, Liz Diaz and Jules Coda of Beyond Beauty School, the ladies that I interviewed on episode 53,

took the hair game microphone and went off into

the crowd to get people's best client confession stories.

It was so loud in the hotel I was worried that the audio wouldn't be clear enough, but

it turned out great.

As long as you realize the context of these interviews, it was super chaotic and there were some salacious stories

to match for sure. I hope you like it.
