Today we're going to talk about the power and the momentum you bring into your life when you establish boundaries for yourself.

Now when you've set up these boundaries around what you will do and what you won't do it's a clear indication to other people that you love and respect who yourself of course not having any boundaries in your life really equates to not having anyone respect you.

Now if you don't value your time enough to set some healthy boundaries no one else is going to value your time having no boundaries or unhealthy boundaries can also lead to things like loaning money to someone and putting your own finances at risk or saying yes to things that take away from your free time.

You know you can find yourself doing things you don't enjoy or don't want to do unhealthy boundaries can also prevent you from speaking up for yourself.

So if you're not sure if you have healthy or unhealthy boundaries here's some clues that you know you might be on the unhealthy side of boundary setting.

Now I've personally had to establish my own healthy boundaries to protect my time it was very hard for me to say no no one is perfect at this by the way but I want to give you some great tips that can help you establish your own healthy boundaries for yourself and actually not just establish but also keep those boundaries for yourself intact.

First you have to realize that you and only you are responsible for setting your boundaries and you alone are responsible for honoring those boundaries if you don't honor them no one else will.

Second you need to understand that you're not responsible for how others react to your boundaries and we say that again you're not responsible for other people react to the boundaries you've set for yourself.

Third if your relationships and because you set some boundaries that's a sign that the foundation was cracked to begin with if someone throws a fit because you set boundaries it's just more proof that healthy boundaries were needed for yourself.

Now setting boundaries is a way to take care of yourself doesn't mean that you're mean or selfish or uncaring it makes the statement that you take care of you first so that you're able to take care of others.
