| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Gritty Podcast. I am your host, Brian Call, and I am joined by my brother, the Gritty Bromine. How are you, Brent? |
| 0:07.0 | I'm well. Thank you. Good. Today's podcast is with our buddy Kevin Tim, owner of Seek Outside. |
| 0:14.0 | And we're going to talk about, on this podcast, we're going to talk a little bit about backpacks. Seek Outside makes a backpack. |
| 0:21.0 | I used one last year on a trip to Kodiak Island for a year before. Did everything's a blur. Kovie got us all kind of screwed up right now. |
| 0:30.0 | It's like that part of the life just disappeared. It was just like exercised from existence. |
| 0:36.0 | Ex-sized, exercised, excised. |
| 0:39.0 | Anyway, so Kevin and I talk about his backpack, his design. I think it's a really interesting show. I actually loaded up with 120 pounds, I think, or something. |
| 0:51.0 | Yeah. |
| 0:52.0 | Of weights, put it on my back, walk around with it a little bit. I used one on Kodiak Island. Like I said, I put a whole goat in it and carried it around. |
| 1:01.0 | It's a comfortable pack. It's shifted a little much and we talked about that on today's show. And he explained why. |
| 1:09.0 | It's a really unique pack in that it can be customized and designed for just with its straps and set up very uniquely to each individual. |
| 1:20.0 | And so, and the loads you're carrying. So anyway, it'll be fun pack. I'm going to run it a couple on a couple of hunts and just put it through the paces. |
| 1:27.0 | I got a configuration I'm kind of keen on. I'm looking at running. It's a cool show. It's an interesting show if you're if you nerd out on backpacks. It's a good show. |
| 1:36.0 | So, I think you're going to like it. You can always use the code Gritty at seek outside for their shelters, stoves and their backpacks. |
| 1:45.0 | And get you save like 5% over there with seek. Good stuff there. And we just published a podcast the other day asking or telling people about the boot dryers that Graxages came out with. |
| 1:59.0 | And Graxas a buddy of ours. They sell the game bags that we like to promote and use. And they have he has created a boot dryer that we covered. |
| 2:10.0 | Well, a lot of you were like, where's the pictures and we've covered it once before and other people were like, well, how do you get the heat into the boot. |
| 2:18.0 | And so I'm just going to briefly touch on that one more time. I run a seek outside shelter with a stove usually a teepee. |
| 2:25.0 | I take my tripod and I stand it up. I take my boots, try to not in the loop. I hang my boots off the tripod. |
| 2:33.0 | So my boots are elevated in the canopy of the tent above the stove. So the heat is really mild. It's like 75, 80 degrees up in there. Maybe 85. |
| 2:44.0 | And my boots are soaked. I turn on the boot dryers. They're blowing hot air because it's up in the canopy of the teepee into the boot. |
| 2:52.0 | Boom, voila, warm boots dry boots every night. I get I wake up with warm warm boots every morning. I put on warm boots. It is awesome. And it's not heavy. It's worth the weight runs on your charger. |
