Now that happens to be the topic of this week's on your power clip, the power that comes from being an individual. As I said, today we're going to talk about the power of individuality. Why? Because it's so important to be an individual these days. We've all got unique ideas and styles and outlooks and insights and they're all valuable and frankly healthy for society.

Your individual uniqueness is what makes the world go around. Individuality is what makes us human. Ralph Waldo Emerson said to be yourself in a world that's constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. So why would he say that? And then frankly, what's preventing you from just being yourself? What's holding you back and preventing you from expressing yourself and your unique ideas?

We live in a society today where individuality is more popular and more celebrated than ever, but sadly for many, it's extremely difficult for them to express their uniqueness or express their ideas or just be different. Now one reason a lot of us find it difficult to express individualism is we've got a fear of rejection. We think maybe fact differently people don't go like me or maybe you think that by expressing a unique idea won't be accepted and you'll look silly.

Your self-talk could also be keeping you stifled. I know that in the past I've had to shut down the voices that were in my head saying, you know, who am I to think differently? To let your uniqueness shine and be true to yourself embrace these principles.

First, what others say about you is none of your business. Get into the habit of not worrying about what others think or say about you. There's no greater freedom than to be free from the opinion of others.

Now there's so many books written about this topic they could fill a library. Don't concern yourself with someone else's opinion and just love what you love and just do what you do without worrying about judgment.

Don't let anyone judge you or even have the perception of someone judging you for being different or having a unique perspective.

Frankly, there's nothing more beautiful than someone who shines through the dark with the light of their personality. Secondly, embrace your difference.

Nothing's more boring than to be the same as everybody else. So be you. Love who you are. Be proud of who you are.

And then finally, watch your self-talk. The reason why I go into such detail in my boot camps, helping you embrace your identity and, you know, we work together to develop your identity statement.

Why? Because it's so freaking powerful and it helps eliminate the negative self-talk.

I've developed my identity statement years ago and I've enchanted it literally thousands of times. Here it is again for you.

I, Rod Cleath, I'm a magnificent, amazing, passionate gift from God. I'm an incredible father. I'm an inspiring leader.

A loving billionaire and an amazing husband that puts smiles on the faces of children, inspires others to excellence and rocks the world.

I get juiced every time I say it. Now it's important to remember that whatever you put the words I am in front of becomes an identity statement.

And there's nothing more powerful as a human being than to remain consistent with how we identify ourselves so you can use this.

Now you may just need to focus on saying something like I'm a unique soul who follows their own drummer.
