Scientists have discovered a new species of venomous tarantula

that can live for up to 20 years.

And it happened in Florida.

I know, I love the state of Florida, but this can't be.

It's the Pine Rockland Trap Door Spider.

It was first spotted on the grounds of the zoo in Miami nine years ago.

And it wasn't until this year that researchers said, you know, that's a whole new species.

Oh, okay.

So apparently they have a rough carouspace on the front half of their silvery grey abdomen

with a light colored patch on the top.

So I'm sure they're just beautiful when you see them.

You know what I'm saying.

So it's a new species.

And it's not that big, actually.

It's roughly the male Pine Rockland Spider is roughly the size of about a quarter.
