Thank you for joining. Let's get started.

Okay, on today's program, we're going to talk about something that is totally unfair. It lacks

0:34.5

equity. It ought not be that way. But some things just are the way they are. In this life, they may not be fair, but it is the way it is. And the sooner we can accept that and not complain about it, the quicker we can deal with it and maybe even get some encouragement out of it.

In a short phrase, what we're talking about today is plugging the hole.

1:02.0

And here's what I mean by that.

1:04.0

You can have a boat that is in perfect condition.

1:09.2

99% of that boat is seaworthy. But let me ask you this. How many holes in the

1:17.7

boat does it take to sink it? How many holes, if left unplugged or unrepaired, would it take for water

1:26.6

which is pushing on every part of the underside of the boat

1:29.7

to enter in fill it up and capture it down to the depths of the water answer just one and it doesn't even have to be a big one

1:41.1

the smallest of holes can do that kind of damage. Now that is not fair.

1:48.3

If it's 99% good, 1% shouldn't cause that kind of damage. But it does. That's just kind of the way

1:58.1

life works. You can do 99 things right and just one untimely mistake, or more specific to the Word of God,

2:09.6

one thing we just decide to ignore actually has enough destructive force to eradicate all the good. Now again, you can listen and say,

2:21.5

I don't like that. I don't think it should be that way. Well, okay, fair enough, me too. But it doesn't

2:28.6

change that that's the way that it is. Let me give you a story from a few years ago in my life to illustrate this. It was a cold winter

2:37.0

evening about an hour before the sun went down. I took my little John boat. You ever had one of

2:42.8

those little aluminum boats? It's a great little boat and I put it in the back of my truck,

2:48.5

hauled it to this lake on the back nine of the golf course near our home.

2:52.9

Nobody lives back there. I was all by myself. Loaded up my paddle, all my fishing gear, and put out into the water.
