I share some of my own experiences with widow fog and talk about a bit of the science behind this phenomenon. And, most importantly, I offer some tips for how to handle widow fog and how to have compassion for yourself as your brain heals from its emotional loss.

0:41.3	and it's been kind of a fun weekend. My daughter had a sand volleyball tournament yesterday,
0:46.8	so we spent all day out in the sun watching her play volleyball. And as soon as I get done recording this episode, we are going to
0:57.4	continue our Netflix binge of Stranger Things, which we have seen already, seasons one and two,
1:03.8	but season three is about to come out at the time that I'm recording this. And so my daughter and I
1:10.0	are trying to catch up on it.
1:12.0	So we are ready for season three.
1:14.5	So today on the podcast, I want to talk to you about widow fog.
1:20.2	And widow fog is a little bit of a misnomer.
1:24.6	We call it widow fog among the community of widows, but it could just as easily be
1:29.9	referred to as grievers fog. It's really the fog that comes with any type of grief, but
1:36.8	specifically on this podcast, I'm talking to you and you're a widow, so we're going to call it
1:42.4	widow fog. Before I get into that, though,
1:45.3	I want to take a couple of minutes and do some listener shoutouts because I love doing
