0:48.2 | But for those of us that have experienced trauma or are just really sensitized, it can feel really scary and unsafe to be |

1:00.3 | This is when resourcing or strategies can come in handy. |
1:04.6 | The idea of resourcing is to give us just enough space and altitude so that we can start |
1:09.3 | to feel safe and willing to be with that fear. |
1:12.7 | And we're all capable of being with fear, so it's just about cultivating that capacity. |
1:18.2 | We've all been there when we're trying something new that's really exciting, but also a little |
1:23.6 | scary. Sure, there's fear there, but also an openness and willingness to let it be |
1:28.6 | part of the experience. In fact, that fear is what makes some of our experiences really exciting. |
1:37.0 | So, here are a few simple resourcing methods from psychologist and meditation teacher, Tara Brock. |
1:43.4 | Feel free to experiment with all three and see what resonates with you. |
1:49.0 | So the first resourcing method is naming out loud the sounds, feelings, and images that are right here in the present moment. |
