Americans for prosperity and its affiliated organizations have had a major impact, whether

you agree with them or not on American politics over the last decade.

And no one has been more responsible for that other than their funders, the Koch brothers,

than Tim Phillips, a very gifted and clever organizer who heads up the organization.

And I sat down with Tim the other day to talk about this election and what his organization

is going to be doing, a relative to Donald Trump.

So, Tim Phillips, today you're the most powerful guy in politics, who nobody knows.

But I'm interested in how I got started in politics when I was five.

You know, John F. Kennedy came to town, I got interested, I've told this story before

here.

But I'm interested, you grew up in, you were born in South Carolina.

Yeah.

And grew up there.

Yeah, my dad's given name, born in 33, Franklin Delano Phillips.

He, his dad, my grandson.

Because there's a politician with a name like that.

He really, you're kidding.

Well, he got a job on the WPA and so he named little Frankie after he after he's hero.

And my dad and my granddad were both in the old Democrat machine.

They would drive people to polls.
