Welcome to the Gritty Podcast. I am your host, Brian Call. And on today's podcast, we're

0:06.1

going to talk a little bit about stretching. We're going to do a little Q&A is what we're

0:09.9

going to do. I just published a podcast yesterday on stretching David Goggins, what if where

0:17.2

he goes into his personal experience on how jacked up his body had become from never stretching

0:24.0

or massaging or doing any soft tissue work. And it sparked a lot of questions. Got a lot

0:29.6

of people who went to the YouTube version of the podcast and those people left questions

0:33.9

in the comments section. So Brent is going to read Gritty Broman. It's going to read a few

0:38.9

of those. And we'll just talk about him right now. So what you got for me, Brent? Two

0:43.3

disk in my low back for about a year now and I've been trying all sorts of things.

0:57.9

1:02.3

shows at random times. I should just do an episode about that, which I think I will because

1:09.3

I just did one about achy knees. I'll do a show fully dedicated to what I did for my low

1:17.0

back. But for now, I'll just kind of high level drop it for you. I started having back pain.

1:24.2

I was like, I don't know, 33 something like that. And I was playing basketball like four

1:30.9

days a week. I was playing some pickup games and then I played in the Portland basketball

1:35.8

league when I had two games a week in the league. But weren't you also biking to work every

1:40.9

day? I was biking to and from work every day. I was very active. I did some triathlons,

1:46.5

but I did not ever lift weights at all. And I sat in a desk for hours on end. Like sometimes

1:55.4

12 hour days, eight hour days. And then I go work out. But the sitting I think is what really,

2:00.3

really hurt my back over time. And maybe the biking as well, like hunched over and writing
