Welcome to the Gritty Podcast. I am your host Brian Call and today I'm joined by my

brother, the Gritty Bromine. How are you Brent? I'm well thank you. Today's podcast is going

to be the two of us reading from Outdoor Life. There's a few articles that I ran into that

I thought were interesting and they would be a great, just a great thing to cover on the podcast.

There's a couple I want to cover in this segment and then we'll do another podcast probably

published Thursday to go into some more stuff regarding the hunting world today. And the

reason I don't know I thought that these articles would be good food for thought, get people

thinking. I kind of read some of these things in we're Western hunters. Mostly we grew up in the

West. We've been hunting elk and deer, mule deer, elk, our whole lives for the most part.

And there's a different culture in the West and we have public land coming out our years all over

and we take it for granted. And when you so we're just sheltered from the east side of things.

And as I've embarked on this Gritty journey with the brand and the show, I have been able to

hunt places like Alabama, a hunted white till in Ohio, a hunted white till in Oklahoma and Texas.

Okay, I've been able to hunt white till in basically four different states now from the southeast

in Texas and Alabama to Oklahoma, which is maybe the mid West area, you know, and then Ohio,

North mid which one was your favorite, Brian? Man, gosh, that's a tough question. So I have a

real soft spot for for white till hunting. Yeah, maybe it's because I don't take, I don't look down on

it like a lot of Western hunters do. And I think in some ways I appreciate it more than a lot of my

Western hunting compadres like Ryan Lampers, who sticks his nose up at white tail.
