Today's podcast is with our good friend and unpaid intern Brad Hunt and we sit down

Brad and I just returned from Arizona where we both were able to take a coos deer. Brad

was with me when I got mine. We interview Brad learn about how he hunted his coos deer

and then we talk about my experience on my coos deer. It's really more of a lesson on

kind of spot and stock. So this area was really crowded. There were a ton of hunters.

We were able to watch a lot of failed stocks and it begs the question, what is it that

the old saying goes 5% of the guys are killing 90% of the deer or something like that.

So what is it on this Archer Hunt? I think Brad was saying it's a 4% success rate. I think

that's what the game and fish guy said when we were down there. That's not a very high

odds hunt. One of the lowest in the state. I will say this, it's a hoot because you're

out there chasing deer almost every day. It's not like you don't get opportunities at stocks.

It's just that they don't last very long. Most of the stocks end before they start. These

deer are really wired tight. They know even the mule deer. So my question is, okay, what

are the 5% doing that are allowing them to kill 90% of the deer? Because when I sit down

and I watch someone like Brad or someone like Ryan, it's like it's not if they kill the

deer. It's just do they like will they like eventually they will as they go down there.
