It was really an incredible conversation with Andrew Yang who is somebody who many of you might even know

Really helped me get rising off the ground with Crystal our first interviews with Andrew on our YouTube channel

Where some of the first ways that so many of you found us he was such an interesting figure for me throughout the democratic primary

And I tracked his work so closely

You know, we'd tangled a few times on trade and automation and I broke down many of his plans and really what he means to the Asian American community

And really what he means to political norms writ large

So it was incredible kind of a year almost after that experience actually maybe more than a year

Now that I got to sit down with him for this podcast in the light of all of the crazy things that have happened in our society

I mean as he mentions there you be eyes at like a 50% approval rating now

Which is just absolutely insane if you look back at some of the policy coverage from during the democratic primary election

There's no question that he changed politics forever

Which is something that I said over and over again during that primary campaign

And we really got into it on everything from journalism to tech to the future of politics the future of the democratic party

The future of the Republican party and most importantly what you all wanted to know

Which is why does he support Joe Biden in the first place given his politics but before that Marshall

I understand we have a realignment question

Well, yeah before even diving to that it was funny to listen to this episode as a producer

Rather than as a co-host I think this is the most time anyone has said dude or man back back and forth on a podcast is really

Interesting how comfortable to be together and that's something that I think is interesting if we think of who are the politicians
