As we were imagining what the Cosmosis podcast would become, we got a ton of feedback from

listeners that the one thing that they didn't want to lose from the UFO rabbit hole were

the deep dives. And so that's exactly what this is. But instead of it just being me,

I'll be bringing in my co-host, J. Christopher King,

and a bunch of other voices from the Cosmosis docu-series and beyond

to bring you an even better version of the format you already loved.

We'll be doing these once a month,

along with our other interview content.

In this episode, we're going to be talking about something that I've been wanting to do a deep dive episode on for a long time.

For many people, myself included, one of the biggest challenges to getting into the deep end with the topic of UFOs,

NIHs, and anomalous experiences in general is that the best data that we have about all of these things

comes from the first-hand witnesses themselves.

But the stories that they share are often so strange and so far outside of our comfort zone

and our ability to parse them that many people default to dismissing them outright.

And even for the open-minded, it can be really tough to know where to start.

There's a lot of talk in the UFO community about ontological shock, but we rarely talk about

how resistant we all can be when it comes to taking in information that is truly ontologically

shocking, to the ideas and stories and concepts that rock the foundations of what we believe

to be possible.
