Stephanie, tell us who you are and what you do.

I am an entrepreneur and a writer and a mom of five and I live in Ottawa, Canada.

and I'm online at the art of simple.net. This is a travel episode. So we're going to talk about

packing light. We are approaching the holiday season,

which means lots of you will be packing and traveling and probably taking your kids. And

Stephanie and I have a little bit of experience in traveling extended with kids. She and I both

traveled around the world, you several times, I think, with kids and managed to pack really light.

So, Stephanie, what comes to mind? Like, what's the first thing that comes to mind whenever

you hear about packing light and people having a hard time doing it? I think, okay, one of the

first things that comes to my mind is I am an ESTJ. Let's just bring

Myers-Briggs in here, like right away because that's always fun to talk about. I'm an ESTJ,

and so for me, like responsibility and being prepared and having everything is so key for me,

and it is for a lot of other people. And I think when we think about packing light,

it's tricky because we feel like, especially when we're traveling with kids and as a family,

that we want to have everything, that we just want to, it's not that we want to have everything.

It's just that we want to be prepared for whatever's going to happen. And I think with kids,
