Welcome to talking to scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today I'm really

excited to be with Bryce to talk about Mosiah.

Mosiah can be kind of tricky because there's all these journeys and the dates don't

line up and there's just so much stuff happening that I think sometimes it can be a little bit confusing and so what I want to do today is talk to Bryce about the structure of Mosiah,

and why are we having these flashbacks with time periods?

There's all this stuff happening at the front end,

but then we go back in time, don't we, Bryce?

And why is that? What's going on with the book

of Mosiah give us an overview of why it's structured the way it is and what you

think the one of the overarching messages of the text is.

So I notice anomalies.

I think that's what catches my attention

is when something's out of the ordinary or unusual,

you know, it's like you walk into a ceiling room and I think we're safe to point out what's in a ceiling

are there's pictures of them all over but you walk into a ceiling room and one thing is

out of proportion one thing is bigger than it should be. And my mind

naturally gravitates to that. It's like, oh my goodness, that chandelier in the
