Hey everybody, Tom Woods here. It's the day after the first Republican debate, and I'm joined by Lou Rockwell to talk to me about what we just

saw, what it all means, who the winners and losers were. Lou, of course, is the founder and

chairman of the Meese's Institute. He is publisher of Lou Rockwell.com. He was chief of staff to Ron

Paul. He's got credentials as long as my arm, and I'm very glad to welcome him to the show. Once again, Lou, welcome back. Tom, great to be with you. This is a highly anticipated episode. I've been talking it up all week, so it better be good. That's all I have to say. I actually took some notes last night.

We, wife and I watched it together, and I took some notes, but before we get into any specifics,

I thought I might start off by asking you, bearing in mind that, you know, we're not really

fans of these people. And based on the cheers of the audience, I guess I had forgotten how much I

can't stand the GOP electorate, to be perfectly blunt about it. What is your impression of who

walks away from this debate stronger and who walks away from it maybe seeing poll numbers going

down? And then I suppose anybody else would be just treading water.

Well, you know, it's interesting just to mention, first of all, why did Fox put this in a gigantic basketball arena?

So, because they could have a big audience and it made a good stage for their show.

It made the sound slightly odd, I thought.
