I'm Glenn O'Sland and I want to start today by thanking those of you

able to touch something in so many of you and hopefully this one will go down a similar path.

So at the end of that regret episode I wondered out loud why we don't just stand up and make our dissent heard when we hear things

that we disagree with or that are just plain wrong.

Well, I mean obviously the answer is social convention you know there are consequences to such

behavior a Japanese proverb says that the nail that stands out gets hammered so yeah

you act out like that you're going to get hammered. I get that.

But there was one time when I actually did take a stand and risk that public hammer.

It was in a testimony meeting so so yeah, there was already a social space already carved out that would allow me to have some kind of a voice.

So it's not like I just stood up in the middle of a congregation and began spouting out from there.
