Did the bears get this thing right?

After the completion of the draft, you've had a little bit of time to absorb this, your

overall impressions of what Ryan pasted with what turned out to be only five picks this year.

Yeah, and that didn't surprise me.

We were together night one.

We knew they'd made the big deal in the first round.

Correctly guessed they'd make a trade in the second round to get some picks back.

I thought they had to trade twice in the second round to get more picks back.

Instead, they used one of the picks that they got back to come back up in the fourth round.

Now, that's a good player, Eddie Jackson,

but this is a draft that is all about ceilings and traits and guys we're going to develop over a period of time. I don't know that you can find that exciting for the 3 and 13 football team.

You're off the leg, Alex? Yeah, well, what Hub just said, I mean, that's where I'm at.

You got to look at this draft right here two, three years down the road outside of Eddie Jackson

because I think he can actually come in and help us immediately.

But when you look at the tight end they got, you look at the top pick in Trubisky, I mean, these guys, they're not ready to play right now.

So you need some time.

Any improvement that this team makes, is it only going to come with this year's free agent class

and from any steps forward by the last couple of draft classes, if they're to be better this year?

Well, I say this, Chris, I do think there will be improvement from the areas that you just described. I still like some of the kids from last year. I think have big

steps to take. I expect Eddie Goldman to be special. I'm curious as to what Alex
