All right, last week we talked about one of the biggest reasons why people misinterpret the Bible,

Christian specifically.

And that's because of an ignorance of Jewish culture and thought, right?

They just don't know.

They're not familiar with the culture at the time.

So so they misinterpret some of the words and I shared some of my own stories.

So if you haven't heard it, go ahead and check out last week's episode where I give kind of an overview on that.

Because today we're going to be continuing on that and talk about one of the classic misunderstandings that I see.

And you know, I got to say in some of this, I'm going to be taking, you know, some shots at Calvinism.

Now I want to be really clear upfront.

I really love Calvinists.

All right, I think, you know, what you see amongst Calvinists, generally speaking, is a real desire to follow the Bible, right?

To hold, have a high view of Scripture and to believe the Bible even when it doesn't seem to make sense.

We have to submit our understanding of what makes sense to the Scriptures.

I think that's really noble.

Okay, so my heart here is really not to dishonor anybody who would identify as Calvinist or who has a more Calvinist understanding of the Bible.

And by the way, that was where I was brought up.

I was brought up in a Korean church, you know, where, you know, 90% of the pastors or more are Calvinists.

And I was taught many Scriptures from a Calvinist perspective originally.
