One of the really great pleasures of my life was to go through a series of really momentous

campaigns and experiences with David Plough, who was a guy I worked for when he was a young

campaign manager and I was a media consultant.

Ultimately, we became business partners.

And then we became partners in one of the great campaigns of all time, the Barack Obama

campaign in 2008.

I've said it many, many times.

There's never been a better campaign manager in my lifetime than David.

And he was, we were partnered up in that and in many things after, including 2012, we

worked closely together.

And I sat down with him the other day to reflect on those experiences, his life and politics

and the current campaign.

My old buddy, David Plough, good to see you.

Good to see you, Axx.

You know, I knew you before you were a legend.

I knew you before you were the guru that you recognized to be today.

But I didn't know you when you started in politics.

So tell me a little bit about that because I know that you sort of came out to the Midwest

and had an epiphany working in Iowa.
