Hey guys, we're doing a podcast today with Ian Black. Ian is sort of a new-ish hunter. Yeah.

In the last couple years, few years, I think he's been married almost two years. He's pretty short.

But he and his wife, his wife grew up hunting and has been a pretty avid hunter in her whole life.

This is kind of your reverse story. And then Ian met her and she's like, you're going to become

a hunter now. And she introduced him to hunting. It's a pretty cool story. And she shot a mule deer

with her tradbo. They are strict tradbo hunters actually. Or rifle.

Jeff. Basically, she's done a lot of rifle honoring and then I think he is the only done trad.

This last, I think a year before last, when he's 17, she shot her first deer with a bow with her

recurve. So pretty cool story. And he and I met online. He is starting a business called Black

Timber Company and he has started it and it's pretty cool. If you're into woodworking, which we

are, as you can tell from the studio we're in. And you like some custom things. Ian has launched

that business and going all entrepreneur and stuff with it. So which brings up a question

today, before we get into the podcast, about someone's advice on kind of starting their own

entrepreneurial journey. This podcast, this question comes in from John Christensen from just

the other day. He says podcast advice is the subject. He's a good afternoon. My wife and I will

be starting a podcast in the fall outside the hunting industry. She has some experience

participating in as well as editing and publishing a podcast, but not much experience in the business

and economics of the process. For now, this is for fun and the good of the community. It will serve

rather than need to replace a supplement income. So just kind of help supplement the income, I guess.

We expect our time now will be spent in delivering good content and developing a listenership.
