All right folks welcome to the Gritty Podcast. I'm your host Brian Call. I'm here in the studio with my brother.

So folks, we have a podcast for you today. It's part two with Ryan Carter. I don't really know if it's part two, but it's it's a three hour podcast that we four hour podcast that we chopped up.

So it's in little sections. So we titled them to kind of help you see what topics were covered and there that way you can pick and choose which podcasts you want to listen to.

Before we get started, we're just going to go over some comments and mean things nice things, whatever news, what's going on.

I also got a question from the mail back for you. Okay. I'm going to read this one. It was on YouTube. We did the open season in August, September, which was an event we launched here at Gritty where we showed hunting films.

Basically daily hunting films. Yeah, day by day series. Really well. We got lots of feedback. So one of the come one of the videos that we got.

Mostly it was all positive, but one of the videos got a lot of criticism and we addressed this on another podcast earlier, but here's another comment and I think it's worth bringing it up again. It's on our YouTube.

And it was, I don't remember what the which video was.

A pound of mean comment on YouTube. Yeah, YouTube has quite a few. These this comment was this guy was named Daniel plants with Z.

And he says, F the law turn off the camera. Let dad finish off that elk. Kid feels like an inadequate piece of blank, but is also relieved he got bailed out and learns a valuable lesson about not wanting to feel that way again.

And is more of a laser focused killer next time. Minimizing suffering of your game has to be the priority in that situation for those that don't know.

His son was 12 at the time. Yep.

You had an elk with him range. I think it was under a hundred under two hundred.

It was good shot. He was prone was there for a really long time shot shot a little back shot a second shot shot a little back.

And the elk ran up the hill when in the tree line. Bet it down. They snuck up not knowing where the elk was elk stood up and brought try to get the shot off.

You know holding them the gun up and couldn't quite get the shot off before the elk went into the trees. And then decided to back out.

Okay. A lot of comments of people saying Anthony should have taken his gun away from his son and finished the elk off for him.

First of all, that's illegal, which we've mentioned before. It's not legal. I can't say that enough times.

It would be poaching. That's what it would be. Right. You're as a hunter. You just advocated that he poached.

You don't get to shoot someone else's animal for them when you don't have a tag. That's the way it works.

And when someone talks about it from this morally superior perspective, it irritates the crap out of me because you're saying we should ignore all laws, all rules, everything.

And we should obey this higher law that we have, which is one of morality and we should just minimize suffering.
