Summary
Soooooo.... Democrats can no longer use him as the excuse for their lack of progress on so many issues. Listen - I truly think Trump caused real political problems - but I also think Democrats blamed him for problems that he frequently had next to nothing to do with - like mass incarceration or police brutality.
And now that he is pretty much a ghost, Democrats have to come to grips with the fact that people are only going to hold THEM accountable for whatever they do or don't get done moving forward.
