And let me tell you folks, it is a May Day.

We are long past May Day, May Day, at our border.

If you just think of the fact that when we embarked on this real heavy focus on immigration, beginning of the year,

we had a five-week partial government shutdown, December, January, over the state of our border.

What is going on today dwarfs even what we thought was unprecedented at the time.

And still, months upon months after calling for a shutdown,

months upon months after being past the point of no return with an emergency urgency,

unprecedented, uncharted, detrimental to American interests by a factor of a thousand.

Public charge, diseases, criminality gangs, drugs, empowerment of the cartels.

And yet, we're still nowhere closer to solving this problem.

And in fact, it's our policy as Americans, by our government, to force Americans to pay for the rope to hang ourselves.
