0:25.2	I am so glad that you've joined me today. I'm believing that God's going to speak to you through
0:29.5	His Word and that you are going to be equipped and empowered to fulfill your God-given purpose.
0:34.2	Now we're going to dive into Numbers Chapter 13 in just a moment. But just before we start,
0:39.1	I wanted to give you some context for this. In this chapter, the children of Israel are in Kadesh
0:45.0	Banea and they're on the edge of the promised land. Now they've been slaves in Egypt for 430 years
0:50.2	and God miraculously delivered them out of Egypt. So at the point we're going to pick up
0:54.8	the text, they were two years into their journey towards Canaan, which was the land that God
0:59.8	had promised them. It was the land flowing with milk and honey. So in those two years, the children
1:05.3	of Israel, they had seen signs and wonders and miracles while they were in the wilderness.
1:11.9	They had seen the tangible evidence of God's faithfulness to them, his love for them,
1:17.0	and his care for them.
1:18.7	Now, you would think at this point, if God had done so many amazing things for you,
1:23.7	that the children of Israel would have had the faith to believe that God could actually do
1:28.5	whatever he wanted to do. But we're about to discover from this text that things are not always
1:36.0	as they seem. So let's dive in together to Numbers chapter 13. This is the word of the Lord.
1:42.3	The Lord spoke to Moses. Send men to scout out the land of
1:46.1	Canaan. I am giving to the Israelites. Send one man who is a leader among them from each of their
