And today we are going to be in Exodus 1 through 6.

This introductory set of chapters is going to set up the good guys, the bad guys, the conflict,

and God's movement with Israel through history.

Now, we're into the next time period now. We've seen the early period. We've seen the

creation in its aftermath. We've seen the covenant within a family. That was Abraham and

their struggles to live the covenant within a family. Now we get to see the covenant in bondage. And this now relates to all of

our lives when a heavy burden is on your shoulders. Every one of us have a liberty jail-like

experience, or a Peter on the boat where he says, carest thou not that we perish. There will

always be moments where we carry a heavy burden and we wonder where is God

in these days. Well, that's Israel in bondage. And that's what Egypt is. We get to see how God reacts

when we are suffering. We get to see how we should and maybe even how we shouldn't respond. So watch

placed upon our shoulders. So let's look at chapter one. And the beginning of Exodus one
