the ching dynasty ran from sixteen forty four to nineteen eleven and that's the

last dynasty

last week we saw how the Manchu set themselves up in China. The early

years of the Ching saw quite a bit of turbulence as the politics swung back and

forth between pro-Chinese Manchus and anti-Chinese.

But once the Kangshi emperor comes into his own, the country slips into high gear and by almost any account was the most admired and the richest nation on the planet.

The time of the three great Ching emperors, Kangshi, Yong-Cheng and Shenlong was a period spanning

over 13 decades.
