Summary

Today, I continue the theme of how so many “conservatives” you see on TV have accepted foundational premises of the Left on key issues. Nowhere is this more evident than with birthright citizenship. I offer a unique history lesson explaining exactly what our Founders meant by “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” and a wild fact about Chester Arthur.  I also show how too many conservative legal scholars are making a mistake by adding on to fundamental rights rather than confining them to where they belong.   Finally, I delve into some new crime and border stats to demonstrate the point that our political leaders need to focus on trends and not downplay their significance until things get worse. We all love Friday's. Fridays are awesome because it is just one more day to full family time when I get out of this insanity of really, you know, not just the Liberal Media,

but as I often say the Conservative Media, it's just funny watching conservatives all over the place talking about how, oh, this jihad-y bride, Hoda, Musafa, whatever her name is, Musana, how she really is an American citizen.

Oh, no, you don't understand. She might have, the father might no longer have been a diplomat.

And just to really finish off some of the discussion we had in yesterday's show about applying really timely first principles to the current issues,

how there's so much confusion even from conservative media on what we should believe in. It just astounds me.

1:39.0

Part of the problem is to make this clear that a lot of people in the Conservative Media have this sort of one directional, unbalanced obsession with individual rights.

1:55.0

Now that might sound a little bit weird coming from me. Well, Danny, what do you mean? You don't like individual rights? That's we love individual rights.

2:01.0

You know what I mean? I mean, there's no balance. They don't understand that rights are not infinite. You have to get them just right.

2:14.0

Rights have to be gotten right. You can't add on to rights. And you know, we're always into, oh, I don't want government to take away someone's citizenship or not give someone say, well, I mean, the problem is when you add rights that don't exist,

2:30.0

you steal the sovereignty of the whole of the nation, the security problems. Now I'm not saying if you have a legitimate right, you could just look at, you know, national security and say, hey, you know, screw the right. Believe me, I'm not like that. But we've gone the other way.

2:44.0

And there's this like obsessive libertarianism that was divorced from really what libertarians used to be in certainly traditional conservatives.

2:53.0

It's just a big problem. I'm saying so much confusion. And I'm telling you it literally comes out in amazingly absurd, an amazingly absurd outcome according to these dudes.
