When we want validation and that's what Trevor was really saying like here are the facts.

If we still are looking for the church to tell us, yeah, you're right,

those facts aren't true. Maybe that's a problem on our end because they're not going to do it and maybe

we don't need them to. that's all I'm saying.

Yeah and I think there's a drive to want them to because those have been the

authority figures that we have sat at their feet

our entire lives and we love them and we crave that kind of validation from them.

But that's why earlier when I prefaced this I mentioned the amount of time that Trevor's

been out compared to the amount of time that others of us have been out and maybe this is a reflection of that from time comes distance and those those bonds to those authority figures will reduce over time.

But I think it's totally reasonable to expect that a church leader, somebody who was your mission president,

that you loved and respected. a church leader, somebody who was your mission president,

you know, that you loved and respected.

And still he loves and respects him.

That he would be able to provide him some validation

and have this kind of conversation with him.

But I don't know, I've never seen one that goes really well I'd love to

that where they both get that they come out of the meeting feeling like yeah that

was that was really productive we really touched each other in a profound way.
