Instagram, I'm going to be talking about inductions in this short episode today because we have

reached the holiday season and there are a lot of

inductions. Funnily enough though, although Thanksgiving and Christmas are high induction times,

4th of July is a high induction holiday as well. But some, I don't know if it's anecdotal type stuff is kind of

pointing to the Monday before Thanksgiving is one of the highest induction days of the year.

And I mean, I was nine months pregnant with Carlo this time of year last year.

I remember thinking I'm not going to make it to Thanksgiving because that's past my due date.

However, we all know I went well over past my due date with Carlo.

So I want to just really hone in on giving you some tools to advocate

for yourself this holiday season because it is a time where you are going to be medically

pressured to get inductions. I have been, I've heard a lot of conversations around myself.

I always end up in situations where there's a lot of pregnant women around me.

They're all talking about scheduling their induction rate days and I'm screaming inside because I don't have the type of relationship with them to talk about it.

Whereas if you want to have an induction, I a thousand percent get it. However, I have never once had a

client and most doulas that I talk to who have clients, even most people that I've interviewed on

here, the OBs that I've interviewed on here, the midwives that I've interviewed on here,

everyone agrees that the people being scheduled for these inductions aren't being told

the risks that go along with it. And there's no true informed consent because you're not being
