Hey everyone, I am so grateful that you've tuned in today. I know that God has a word for you. Listen,

today we're going to look at Psalm 34, which highlights a pattern of wisdom that we can apply for the rest of our lives.

Now, Psalm 34, it's one of the Psalms that has a very short introduction or what's called

a superscription that sets the words of this Psalm in context.

So we read in the introduction concerning David when he pretended to be insane. Listen, let's just

stop there. I love that. Did you know this stuff is in the Bible? I mean, this is concerning David.

This is better than any novel man when he pretended to be insane in the presence of Abimelech

who drove him out and he departed.

Now, this is probably a reference to an incident that's described in 1st Samuel Chapter 21.

And for the next few minutes, let me just give you a brief 35,000 feet overview of the whirlwind

that led to David writing this Psalm because sometimes you can just jump into a

Psalm and go, I don't know what they're talking about. This doesn't make sense. So I'm just going to

give you a 35,000 seat view. But listen, you're going to have to make sure that your seatback and

your tray tables are placed in there upright and locked position because trust me, you are in for

the right of your life.
