Will Heard is unique.

He's the only African-American member of the Republican Caucus in the U.S. House.

He represents a district in Texas on the border that is 70 percent Hispanic.

And so, while he votes with President Trump more than 80 percent of the time, he often

descents on matters of race and sometimes immigration.

Heard also sits on the House Intel Committee, where last week he was among those who questioned

former special counsel Robert Mueller.

I sat down with him at the end of a tumultuous week to ask about Mueller's report, Trump's

tweets and his own journey.

It's good to see you at the end of a very interesting, eventful week here in Washington.

You have such a good personal story and I really want to, I want to spend a lot of time

on that and normally we would start there, but because this was the week that was, I do

want to ask you about the stuff that you were asking about when, about Mueller appeared

before the Intel Committee.

And you went right to the threat, the Russian threat.

You're a former CIA.

What is the, how do you view the threat right now?
