Soon to be former Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield has been making the media

rounds lately, and has been very adamant about feeling disrespected about how the things

went down in Cleveland when they decided to shine Dishon Watson, a move that signaled

the end of the Mayfield era for the organization.

He's talked about how he believes he's a top flight quarterback in the league, and he's

earned the right to be treated in that capacity to paraphrase.

Somebody may want to tell Baker that he's lucky to have been a starting quarterback in

the league as long as he has been to be honest with you.

Is Mayfield a bad player?

No.

Do I think Baker is mentally soft?

Hell no.

But someone needs to tell him he isn't elite by any standards when you actually look

at the numbers and the success.

He's a middle of the road quarterback that has a nice, had a nice rookie campaign, went

to a sophomore slump, rebounded in 2020, and then struggled last year even though he's

dealing with a shoulder injury.

The elite consistency hasn't been there.
