Dan Pompeii, Dan's good to talk to you. Thanks for giving us some of your time here. And we never get to talk much at Hal us all because we're all going our separate ways, doing our own stories and our focusing on other things. But it's good to have a chance to talk to you here. offseason. 2017 has really begun this week at the Senior Bowl as they get a chance to

coach the North Squad down there. We'll talk about some of the things that Pace and Fox have

in front of them.

But from a more general standpoint,

they've been allowed a third year here by the McCaskies.

What do you think is in this franchise's mind,

the McCaskies mind in particular on what they need to see

so they're granted a fourth year a year from now.

Well, specifically, it's hard to say, but I think generally you need to see significant improvement in the third year.

The first two years have been a big disappointment, obviously.

I don't think anyone really expected the bears to contend for a playoff spot

this year or last year. It's pretty clear this was a rebuilding process. But I think the fact that

the team kind of got off the tracks a little bit and even regressed in a lot of areas probably
