A friend of mine posted recently about robot traitors

It was an article from a guy at CNBC that I've talked about on my podcast before

The article was titled, Hedge Fund Robots crushed human rivals in 2014.

This came out in January of 2015.

And my friend was not very familiar with Trend Following, but he knew that I wrote about

trend following, recognized the name, posted the article, and his first gut instinct, and he's a smart

guy, he's a programmer, his first gut instinct was to think that this was about machine learning,

that these robots, the way the C&BC article positioned trend following traders, these robots

from 2014, it was like, you know, big blue or deep blue, whatever it was that beat Gary Kasparov and chess.

There was some machine learning, something so complicated.

And that was where the article wanted you to take.
