We've got a little cold water kayak talk, a little braid talk in this week's fishing pole. But let's start with a little bit of housekeeping here.

First, I hope everybody was able to take advantage of some great Black Friday deals that were all over

the place this last weekend.

I mean, so much so that we had to drop a bonus episode on Friday to give you guys a rundown

of all of the deals that you could find from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

And I know that it's impossible to capture them all, but I hope that you guys at least got

to take advantage of some of those deals and the long list of promo codes that we were able to find that hopefully helped you save some money this past weekend. I know that my wallet took quite a beating, but it's also great to know that I didn't pay anywhere near retail for all of the stuff that I bought. I got to restock on some line that I desperately needed. I got a new rod to try out

that I've had my eye on for a while. I got some essential baits that I needed to restock,

all at like 25 to 40% off. So we'll take it. But today, we're going to start out with some

cold water kayak tips. For those of you that are in the Midwest or the north that are currently or about to

brave the winter cold in your prized plastic vessels out there. So I went out this past Saturday.

It was snowing a little bit. Our guides were freezing every 30 seconds. You know, there was frozen water

in the kayak. It was frigid cold. And it got me thinking,

man, there's a lot of things that I've learned over the years that have helped me either

be more efficient, be safer, or just be more careful in the kayak in those brutal winter
